Keira pranced nervously besides Ciara. The little foal was relatively inexperienced with traveling and showing. Ciara was grateful that this nervous little filly often poured her excessive energy and inquisitiveness into her movements. Keira looked like she was dancing for the audience today. She certainly made a charismatic entrance into the snow-covered arena.

Ciara unbuckled Keira's halter. She slid it off her delicate face just as the first notes of music began to play across the loud speakers. And then just like that, Keira sprang into motion with nostrils flared. It was like the frolicking filly was trying to show off every move she had. She lept away from Ciara, stretched out her long legs and gathered impressive speed as she raced towards the other end of the arena.

Ciara wasn't sure what the filly enjoyed more, playing in the soft snow or putting on a show for the audience. Keira certainly seemed born to perform. The filly was in a full sprint while dashing from one end to the other, neck arched and tail held proudly in the air. As she would reach the opposite side of the arena, she would slow her speed, trotting and prancing around with delicate floating movements. She even threw in a little rearing or jump, before she turned and dashed away again to the beat of the music. The crowd just loved her.

Ciara watched Keira's effortless movements, thinking that surely the judges would like what they saw in her movements. Oh how she hoped they would.

Ciara certainly felt entranced by what she saw. She loved the way the little filly seemed to run… and she did run. Suddenly, Ciara began to wonder. The owners had imported this superb filly as a potential Champion halter/liberty mare for the Farm. But the girl had moves. As beautiful as she was, Keira certainly seemed to also have a fair amt of speed. Ciara began to daydream, what if this little beauty could race too…

Hmmmm, just exploring some potential areas of development for Keira's future career.
This is the most effort I have put into a background, ever. I seriously need some help/practice with backgrounds. I probably won't change anything else on this entry, but would love any tips/techniques/constructive criticism you would like to provide.
